"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he has been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just like people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, and most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."

Saturday was a GOOD day...

WHY?
Because after searching every fabric store, boutique, and online store...
I finally found my material for the Baby Crib bedding:

Fabric by: Amy Butler

Then Sunday was a TERRIBLE day...
Why?
Because after searching, searching, and searching online for yardage of this fabulous material... I discovered its been discontinued and is NEXT to impossible to find. : (

Today I decided that I'm still using Amy Butler fabric...
but now, I'll have to settle for my second favorite print out of her
Love Collection:

I adore how you can piece these completley different prints together and it makes something so unique and so beautiful. I've ordered my swatches... now, I just have to decide what different prints for the bedding and panel drape curtains I want! Suggestions ARE welcome (Rebecca).
Even though I've looked on Ebay, Etsy, Online Shops, and called pretty much every fabric store in the Southeast... I'm still not giving up on the Belle Collection!
ATTENTION: if you happen to know where I can find any of the Belle material...
please PLEASE give me a shout out!

With my left over material... I'm having a mobile made like this:
I'm pretty much in love with this mobile.
(Found the crafty lady that makes them on ETSY.com.)
************************************
* Our crib came in Tuesday and Patrick picked it up this evening. YAH!
* Yep- We're still fussing over the name. We have got to come to an agreement SOON!

- I'm proud to say, she's now FRUIT GRADUATED to a Papaya-
I have less than four months to go and in that time period I'm going to focus on becoming more "motherly"
so here is my list of things I plan to do in preparation of TBA's arrival:

  • Purchase a few pairs of  "Mom Jeans"

  •  Develop my "Mom Laugh"... (you know the one)

  • Replace my inappropriate words and phrases with: "Oh My Dear", "Mercy", and "Good Gracious"

  • Somehow turn everything into a story I can share about MY child

  •  LEARN to COOK and to plan weekly meals and then buy groceries accordingly... the days of Lucky Charms for dinner will soon be no more

  • I should probably sell those Lady GaGa concert tickets... nah.
  • And I must- I mean, I MUST start saving for our very own Swagger Wagon:

Its now 3 a.m. Thursday Morning and I'm back home from watching SATC2. The movie was fantastic... not as good as the first- but still very good. You just can't beat small towns- where else can you arrive at a movie theatre in your PJ's carrying blankets for a sneak-peak showing of a movie?

I should be in bed but Baby Girl has been keeping me up the last few nights with heartburn and her mad gymnastic skills. Plus- I'm wired from the Large Dr. Pepper I drank at the theatre.

I have a big weekend planned:
My friend Summer is coming into town tomorrow and I'll be spending some time with her! Then, Friday night I'm having a slumber party with all my girl cousins. Then the rest of the weekend and Monday will be spent at the Alabama River with my hubby along with my SIL Allison and her family.
Have a great Memorial Weekend everyone! AND if you happen to visit a fabric store... keep an eye out for my material. :)

Oh my dear, Lordy Me, I can't believe that collection is discontinued. I guess it's just a little bit of that "Christy" luck.

Don't buy mom jeans, and when we were little, we had cereal for dinner all the time.

One more thing: I can't be your friend anymore if you give up Gaga.
