"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he has been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just like people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, and most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."

Six Word Memoirs

Legend has it, Hemmingway was once challenge to write a story using only six words.
His response?
For Sale: Baby Shoes, Never Worn.
It amazing how SO much can be said with SO little. I found this book off the Postsecret site: Not Quite What I was Planning Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure Some of my Favorites: Anything's possible with an extension cord. Danced in fields of infinite possibilities. Liars. Hysterectomy didn’t improve sex life. –Joan Rivers Revenge is living well without you. My reach always exceeds my grasp. Secret of life: Marry an Italian. Without ME it is just Aweso. Ex-wife and contractor now have house Never really finished anything, except cake. What can I say about my life using only 6 words?- I will be thinking about it… and maybe post MY six word memoir on here.
I might even send it in to be published- if- its good enough. :)
I want to start collecting these books along with Postsecret books... I know, I'm weird.
Oh My Goodness!
My Six-Word Memoir could be:
I know, I'm Weird. Don't Care.
just kidding. (I'm gonna do better than that.)

I posted mine on Frank Warren's myspace blog about this:

I wasn't born until she was.

I had never read that about the baby shoes... I love it. How funny/true is that.

Hey there,

Just made my way over here from Jay's blog. I was reading through and catching up on you... Congratulations on the wedding and the awesome find on the house! Oh and I totally agree with you about going to the courthouse. Weddings are highly over rated. Good to see you doing so well!

Blessings!
