"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he has been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just like people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, and most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."

27 Dresses... well, 2 Dresses.

Wedding fever has hit my friends...
Lacy Jo and Elise are getting Married
and I'm in both weddings.
Griff and Lacy are planning to get married in April and we couldn't be happier for our two buddies! They are getting married at a TOP SECRET location- that I have been swore to secrecy not to tell because... you know how it is- another up and coming bride will steal it! The wedding venue is PERFECT and I was the one that found it for her- woot! woot!
Its going to be a Gorgeous Spring Wedding!
It was sweet how Lacy Jo asked for me to be a maid... Patrick and I were at their house last week and Lacy gave me a present. She said it was for me helping her get her classroom situated. (Lacy landed her first job as a 6th grade teacher @ Greenville Elementary) The present was a beautiful card that read:
It makes me happy,
it makes me smile,
to know that Griff and I will soon walk down the aisle.
And I would be so honored to have you say,
"I'll be right there with you an your wedding day."
Will you be my Bridesmaid?
Of course, my answer was... "YES!"
Then Griff gave Patrick a poem on a piece a paper scribbled in pencil that read:
Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
Will you be in my wedding?
If not, Screw you.
Ha!
Its going to be so neat for Patrick and I to be in a wedding together. Its not very often that couples find other couples that both the husband and wife really like.
Although I have only known Elise for a short amount of time, her and I have become the best of friends. I'm so glad she is here and apart of my life- I couldn't believe it when she asked me to be a bridesmaid! She will be getting married in downtown Atlanta and her wedding is going to be outrageous! I must say, I'm a little discouraged that all of other bridesmaids are midgets... the tallest one is about a foot shorter than me. :( mockery.
The dresses are formal and floor length- so, I'm wearing flats and the others will be wearing platform heals. lol.
Elise is marrying her Jr. High boyfriend, Nick. They are getting hitched December 27, 2010 (the anniversary of their first date ten years ago) isn't that just sweet?
I have showers to plan- and party's to attend... its gonna be a great 2010!
