"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he has been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just like people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, and most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."

The Time has Arrived!

New Moon hits theaters tomorrow and I'm going with friends (even Patrick... lol)
to catch the Midnight Showing.
But beforehand... we will gather at my house for a New Moon preparty. We will be watching Twilight, while sipping on VampireKiss Martinis, and enjoying a variety of appetizers and caramel apples for desert.
I have a word scrambler game for us to play, and the Harper Bazaar Twilight Issue for the winner.

Here are my Glasses Creations for our Drinks... I made them last night, but did not succeed. So, I woke up at the crack of dawn this morning and did a re-do. Thankfully, they came out great the second go round!

Here is the recipe:
Combine:
1 cup sugar
1/ 2 cup Karo Syrup
1/ 2 Water
Bring to a boil on stove- needs to heat to Hard Candy stage which is around 300 degrees. (You will need a candy thermometer.) right before you dip the rims the glasses in the boiling mixture, add red food coloring. Dip the glasses in the mixture and place up-right on wax paper.
This could also be cute for Halloween Parties or for Saint Patrick's Day by adding Green Food Coloring.

So,
New Moon Soundtrack- Check.
Twilight Movie- Check.
Team Edward Shirt- Check.
New Moon 12 am movie ticket- Check.
My Dignity... gone. : )

So cute! Enjoy those times! Adam and I used to do midnight things before children. I wouldn't change our lives now for the world but I wouldn't trade that time that we had for anything either.

I went to see it at 10:30 on Sat. morning. How is that for being an old folk. Maybe I'll do a party when it comes out on video and steal your party ideas. I'll have to be selective.. You know how those church people can be ;).

you were asking about my smug mug account. The account that I have I pay for. For slide shows, I use rock you. They are free so you can't beat that. I know a top of people that use flickr too. I don't know if they are pay or not.

Thanks, Dana! We had such a good time. You can use all of my ideas for your party and just put Red Cherry Kool-aid in Martni glasses for those church folks ;).

I noticed your SmugMug didn't have advertisements on it... so I assumed you payed for it, but I just wanted to ask just in case. I realized that PICASA has a video picture maker thingy and I think I will just use it and upload the finished product to my blog.

P and I are having pictures made of us in front of our house this weekend for our Christmas Cards. This home renovation has been such a labor of love and a true testament to our marriage- I can't think of ANYTHING we won't be able to conquer as husband and wife. Its been hard, but worth it!

Thanks Again!
