"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he has been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just like people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, and most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."

Baby Nursery Planning

So... Patrick and I just got back from Dothan where we bought the furniture for the nursery. After price comparing, consumer checking, and much deliberation... we decided on the Munire Savannah lifetime crib and dresser combo:

white Pictures, Images and Photos
(The crib converts to a toddler bed and then a full-size bed)
This furniture reminds me of shopping for my wedding dress. (Let me explain) Initially, I was going to buy a simple gown to go along with my simple wedding. After trying on what must have been 100 dresses, I wound up with a very fancy dress that was too nice for a simple wedding... thus, making our wedding bigger than I initially planned or could afford at the time!

Well, I've done it again...
What I had planned for the nursery isn't gonna match this furniture.

-Back to the drawing board-
For starters... I'm thinking a small chandelier will soon replace the ceiling fan. : )
