"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he has been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just like people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, and most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."

Nursery!

I worked very hard this weekend on the nursery. I didn't finish all of my projects... but, I'm happy with what I did accomplish. Here are some pics!

I took some of the material and modpodged over the finials:

The mural isn't finished. I have to add the coral/orangy pink paint to it and hang the picture frames from the "limbs" with ribbon

Here is Mr. Cornelius- I blogged about him in an earlier post!
I just love him. :)

the Marquee Reads:
COMING SOON
CAMILLE BOZEMAN

Unfinished Wall Project:

Dresser/ Changing Table
STILL haven't hung the bird mobile- will do it soon. Patrick, wants to make sure its EXTRA secure.
close up of bedding:

I have been searching and searching for a glider/rocker recliner. Those things are so expensive new! I was hoping to find one on craigslist or the bulletin board... but I haven't had any luck. :(
Once I get a chair, finish the mural, hang the bird mobile, and hang wall art and frames her room will finally be complete!

I would like to say THANK YOU to:
Emily, my baby sister, who helped me get the house organized and spotless this weekend! Its hard work making room for all the new baby stuff! :) AND I would like to say thank you to my Dad, who came over and helped me with a ton of small projects that Patrick hasn't had the time to do.

Thank you and I love you both!

and just in case you were wondering:
The fabric is Amy Butler from her LOVE collection

I met Gwenny on ETSY and we've become long distance friends... She lives is IL.  I sent her the fabric and I described what I wanted through emails/ phone conversations and she did exactly what I asked.
I HIGHLY recommend her- she's pretty much fantastic!
